Currently studying an MA in Performance Making at Goldsmiths, UOL, Grace Strickland de Souza is a multidisciplinary artist and director who specialises in devised theatre.

Never feeling satisfied with one thing, she incorporates her many interests of film, music, movement, scientific facts and poetry to create performance that has a unique and visual theatrical language.

Grace is constantly wondering about the world and finds human beings fascinating. This is a catalyst for her work, which is often focused on the human condition, feminism and existentialism.

She likes to tell the truth about herself and the other people she collaborates with. Moments of documentary theatre and natural conversation based on real life experience are interlinked to create work that is raw, exciting and relatable.

Lord of the Flies (2013)

Devisor & Performer The good child vs the evil child. Nature vs nurture. Are we born evil or can we be influenced so heavily by society and others that we commit the biggest crime of all, murder? Inspired by Golding's Lord of the Flies we watch the chaos unfold when children are left alone at a fun fair with no authority. Performed at Bath Spa University, 2013

Where theatre meets live art.
We are a collective of theatre makers.
We make work that is visual and visceral.
That blends theatrical forms.
That provokes debate.
